Commuter Ferries
The Seaport Ferry offers service between the Seaport and North Station or East Boston. It operates Monday through Friday during the morning and evening commutes with departures every 20-minutes. The service is open to public riders on any of the dozens of daily departures.
For more information and to reserve a seat, visit www.seaportferry.com.
MBTA commuter ferries servicing the Seaport include the year-round Harbor Loop service, and the seasonal Winthrop and Quincy ferries.
Additionally, several ferries are available from Rowes Wharf and Long Wharf, which are within walking distance to many points throughout the Seaport Waterfront. Year-round routes include Hingham, Hingham/Hull, and Charlestown. Additional seasonal ferries travel to the Seaport from Winthrop and Quincy, and to Long Wharf from East Boston, Salem, and Lynn.
Water Taxi
Water taxi providers operate year-round throughout Boston Harbor, providing on-demand service between various docks in the South Boston Waterfront and popular destinations including Logan International Airport, Charlestown, the North End, East Boston, and more. Call ahead to arrange a pick-up and inquire about specific harbor destinations and rates.
