The South Boston Waterfront is accessible via the MBTA Silver Line bus rapid transit from South Station, as well as several MBTA bus routes.

Silver Line Waterfront: The MBTA’s SL1, SL2 & SL3 serve South Station, Courthouse Station, World Trade Center Station, and Silver Line Way before branching. Inbound Silver Line buses connect to the Red Line, Commuter Rail, Amtrak, and regional buses at South Station.

SL1 makes frequent trips between South Station and Logan Airport 7 days a week. The ride is free when boarding at any airport terminal and costs just $2.40 when traveling to the airport from South Station or the Seaport.

SL2 travels to the Marine Industrial Park and the Innovation and Design Building (IDB).

SL3 travels to Chelsea and connects with the Commuter Rail.

MBTA Bus routes serving the South Boston Waterfront include the following:

Route 4 connects North Station and the South Boston Waterfront (Monday- Friday, peak commute periods only).

Route 7 travels from City Point, South Boston, and Downtown Crossing via Summer Street (Monday-Saturday).

Route 9 connects City Point, South Boston with Copley Square.

Route 11 connects City Point and Broadway Station in South Boston with Downtown Boston.

Route 47 connects Broadway Station in South Boston to Central Square in Cambridge.
