COMMUTER PROGRAMS
Vanpool Program

Vanpools are large carpools that operate like a private bus - your group sets the hours and the route, and the same people ride in the van every day.

Share a ride with 7 or more people and earn commuter subsides to pay for your travel and discounted parking. Get matched with employees who work similar hours and live nearby.

Vanpools can be a low-cost, faster, more efficient commute alternative to taking the train or driving alone!

How Do I Get Started?

Step 1: Register here as we are forming NEW VANPOOLS.

Step 2: View the list of vanpools currently seeking passengers to see if you can find a match. If you see a vanpool on the list above, send an email to SeaportTMA@fmr.com and we'll try to get you matched. Be sure to register in Step 1.

Step 3: Once registered, active vanpools will receive commute subsidies and preferential parking by submitting the Monthly Vanpool Report.

Step 4: Sign up for Guaranteed Ride Home. If you have to leave work early for sickness or an emergency or stay late, your vanpool will have to stick to its original schedule. We provide a free ride home via a taxi - no limit on miles or fare - to anyone who does not drive alone to work!
