COMMUTER PROGRAMS
Workout to Work - BIKE

 Biking some or all of the way to work offers many rewards: it’s healthy and it helps the environment.
Here are more rewards: gift cards to sports stores and monthly prizes.
Enter the miles you walked or biked online every month to get your rewards.
Also attend special events such as lunch workshops, walking tours, and bike to work events.

Workout to Work - Earn Prizes and Gift Certificates for Tracking Miles Commuted by Bike:
Track your miles to earn monthly prizes by cycle commuting to/from work or a transit stop. Sample prizes include briefcases, bags, travel kits, beverage tumblers, energy packs and more. Submit your miles each month via the link on the menu above.  Register here.

Guaranteed Ride Home - Have a Ride Home When the Weather is Bad:
Sign up for the Guaranteed Ride Home Program and as a cycle commuter you can use your ride in the case of inclement weather. The program provides you with a free ride via a taxi up to six times a year in case of an emergency, illness or unexpected overtime while at work. For cycle commuters only, you can also use the program if the weather conditions make it unsafe to ride home from work.

Bicycle Commuter Group
In an effort to connect more with bike commuters Seaport TMA has a Bicycle Commuter Group and we would like to invite you to participate!

The purpose of the Bicycle Commuter Group is to:

  • Provide feedback about bicycle parking, roadway conditions and safety issues in the South Boston Waterfront;

  • Brainstorm ideas for the annual Bike Week events, workshop topics and new incentives to encourage people to bike to work;

  • Network with fellow bike commuters about gear, routes, bike shops, etc;

Most meetings take place during lunch and Seaport TMA provides food and a location. All we ask from you is that you can attend at least three meetings a year and actively provide feedback and ideas so we can better serve you.

If you are interested in participating in the group please contact Lauren Grymek via email. All abilities are welcome!

Bicycle Buddy Program:
Seaport TMA is looking for experienced bicycle commuters who are familiar with their bike commute to volunteer as a Bicycle Buddy and looking for newcomers to bicycle commuting who would like to ride with a buddy a few times to work.

We match buddies with cyclists who have yet to try biking to work. If there is someone who matches your commute you will set up a mutually convenient time and place to meet so that you can bike to work together at least once.

Encourage fellow cyclists who have never biked to work before to try it, help them become familiar with a route, and to encourage them to make bicycle commuting a regular part of their routine.  If you are interested in being a Bicycle Buddy or would like to find a buddy, please register here.

Health Club Subsidy Program - Coming Soon!
Many employers do not provide shower facilities for their employees (but we applaud those who do). If you're in need of a place to freshen up when you arrive at work by bike, sign up for Seaport TMA's subsidy program. We'll provide you with a $20 coupon to use towards a monthly locker room membership at Wave Health & Fitness at the Seaport Hotel.
